Well, what can I say. DPI in Wa have sid no to adding seats to a troopy, so now we are looking for info about cruisers.
OK, we are family of 7, would need 8 seater.
Diesel, big tank, auto would be nice (but that is me)
Under $30k would b nice too.
So what am I looking for? models etc km's

Cant understand why you cant have forward facing approved seats with an engineers certificate. This is a common modification in most other states. NSW is the hardest of all the others and I had
mine done with little fuss from our Road and Traffic Authority. Suggest you speak to then again you may get a different answer.

Sorry I can't help you, we're a family of 4 trying to sell our Cruiser Ute because it only seats 3, but the other reason we're selling is to clear some personal debt so we were thinking of buying some cheap runabout or hopefully cheap 4x4 that would fit us all.
Anyhow some of the old troopy like fourbies (old landrovers or cruisers) may have been an option and since most don't have the back seats any more I was just wondering your exact situation....Did you buy a troopie in which the seats were taken out and you wanted to put them back in? Or some other reason why they're not letting you put seats in it?
I'm just surprised so it could be good for us to be aware of if we did sell our car and were shopping around for an old cheapie, don't want to buy another to find we can't put seats in it and we're sort of back to square one except no without his beaut ute!
Cheers,

Hi,
I have a company that will do the seats, but the DPI won't approve it. Cos, we don't want the extra door put in.
Price goes from $3000 for the seats to $15000 for seats and door.
