was trolling back thru some threads and came across the "worst cars" item. I couldnt let it go without putting up the late and unlamented International Scout, 4 cylinder, 3 speed manual with a 2 acre turning circle and inbuilt rust designed to make its presence known when the warranty ran out. Not to mention the high pitched scream from the gearbox when driven over 30 mph and the regular visits to the workshop for transfer case surgery.! It lasted for about 4 years before being left to rust out in the machinery shed.

I used to drive an International Scout in Canada in the early 1980's. This one was a petrol V8 and was set up as a crop sprayer. It got thrashed up and down rough paddocks day after day, and I can't ever remember it having any major problems apart from a few broken springs. Although I do remember it's huge thirst for petrol.
