A few weeks ago there was an air photo put on here of a flooded
bridge and I can't think of the name of the
bridge. It is on the way to
the Dig Tree from Innaminka on a patch of bitumen. I did a search but as I don't know the name of the
bridge not much help.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

It's actually called the
Nappa Merrie Bridge. Both ends have been washed away leaving the central spans intact or at least they sort of look that way at the moment. It will take quite some time before anyone gets in there for a close look given the number of flood pulses still to come. The track damage reports we are seeing are no great surprise given the amount of water. It will we suspect be rather challenging to get enough
grader crews out there to commence track repairs when its dry enough to commence

Gday Rob,
While the locals call it the
Nappa Merrie Bridge, it looks like the
Burke and Wills Bridge on the
plaque that may or may not have washed away. Or have you got something else you want to add?

Gidday D
It’s the
Nappa Merrie Bridge. We’ve camped at the top right hand section many times.
I’d be very surprised if the
bridge is substantially damaged, but you never know in a flood.

Kim

Thanks Kim, that is the one I was looking for, hopefully you are right and there is no damage to the
bridge.
