Hi All, I am after track conditions to tow a caravan in the following locations,

All in WA, From Elachbutting Hill to Woongaring Hills, to Mt Jackson, then via Gully Rock to Johnson Rocks, to Riverina, to Lake Ballard and on to Leonora.

Any recent info regarding this track would be appreciated, including the suitability for a semi-off road caravan, 22' long. Cheers

Hi George

Probably not much help but we were out that way in October 08. Had the same idea as you but we could not find the track from Elachbutting. Decided it must have grown over or been fenced off. Spent a bit of time looking.

Didn't see any tracks I would be game to take a large van down.

I am interested in seeing if anyone can help as I still can't see how we could have missed the track if it was there.

Thanks Rowdy, I think you may be right, looking on Google Earth it appears that the track between Elachbutting and Woongaring Hill is overgrown or swallowed up in pastoral land. May have to go down further to get onto the Mt Jackson track. Cheers

George there is a track indirectly from Elachbutting Hill to Mt Jackson Road (not sure about Woongaring Hills) but it requires permission from a landowner.

Last time I used it, permission was happily granted. However, it's a bit overgrown for a van your size. The beauty of this track is that there is another excellent early explorers' well half way along.

If you go along Mt Jackson Rd stop in for an overnight camp at Trough Well. Beaut place.

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

Hi Gone Bush, thanks for that. You don't happen to have a track plot or contact number of the land owner ? Cheers
