Good morning all,

just wondering if any one has a caravan style, front opening 3 way fridge permanently mounted in their vehicle ?
12v when on the move and gas when camped.

Im aware of ventillation issues, but this setup would allow me to have double stack draws beside it rather than the usual draw system.

Any advice re the pros and cons would be appreciated.

Cheers......Lionel.

Hi Lionel
Depending on what brand of draw system you are looking at, there are manufacturers out there that make them to suit your requirement and making double stacking type systems.

Cheers

Thanks Stephen,

just poking around Jim's site [couldn't help it really, the ad was flashing straight at me] and like the idea of the 'double stacker' units he has designed.
Combined with the front opening fridge, this setup would suit my situation fine.

Cheers.......Lionel.

Lionel,
Mine are triple stack drawers, Not sure how tall your fridge is but this might give you an idea on what you can do

Hi Lionel

I have only used a 3 way in the back of the ute on 12v while traveling. I fitted a computer fan to aid air flow through the rear of the fridge. There is plenty of info on doing this....just google it. My concern would be to get the heated air out of the canopy so the fridge runs effectively. Have you considered a 12v front opening compressor fridge instead?

regards Kc
