could you please tell me how much was the labour cost to fit your new clutch in the navara.&did they remove the motor to do it.thanks in advance.

Hi Toohey

No they did not have to remove the engine. Had to drop the centre bearing and housing this gives you enough room to slid the box back and at the same time jack the front of the engine a little as this will give you a better angle to slid the box back. The top two dowels in the bellhousing are quite long. It is a tight squeeze but the box will fit out.
Clutch plate pressure plate and rear seal and oil labour will be around $1600 to $1700,
That is also including a flywheel machine.
All up about $950 in parts.

I used an Exceedy clutch and pressure plate. My flywheel was good and only needed a skim as I changed the clutch at 200000km instead of waiting for it to slip as preparation for our trip on the GRR in June.
