Have you looked at the link in your own thread? There is a lot of information in there... things to see and do...
Can't help with up to date track conditions though,
regards

If ya going to wave rock anyway pop in and talk to the campsite owners there, they know current conditions and the like.

Its a very sandy track in some parts and not advisable to travel in the wet although is fun with a few fourbies.

Just take your compressor and take it easy, you'll be sweet this time of year.

Mike,
this trip we are solo from Torquay, trying to do as much ground work from here, so all your info is a bonus.
Thank-you
Brian

Hi Rip64
If you give the Shire of Dundas a call on 0890391205 they should be able to give you the engineers mobile number as they check the road/track on regular basis. You might be able to get a small booklet from them called A Guide to the Granite and Woodlands Discovery Trail its got a heap of info in it about the region.
Good luck.
Rocka

Brian I travelled the Holland Track from Victoria Rocks Road back to Mount Holland on Australia Day Weekend and had no problems. I was towing a Cub Spacevan O/R camper trailer, I was in 4WD H/R. The track was OK there are some ruts and washouts We also encountered some bog holes due to localised thunder storms mainly around the Victoria Rocks section. We didn't do much in the way of sight seeing due to a bushfire on the Hyden Norseman Road and one of our group was having problems with his vehicle .

G'day Bentaxle,
how did you go for track width, there are some comments that sections of this track are not suitable for campervans and that side wall damage is unavoidable.
My camper is about 400mm wider than my Hilux.
What do you reckon.

The camper is same width as the Patrol, which means my van now has collected its share of "character lines"' but most of them will polish out. I reckon the section from Hyden - Norseman Road to Mt Holland is fairly overgrown , from memory, and I wouldn't take a camper thro that section.
