Would anyone be able to tell me what the valve clearance should be for a 1992 GQ 4.2 EFI running Petrol\GAS.
Does this differ if the vehicle is running GAS or not.
Any advise would be much appreciated.

Hi Dean
Valve clearance does not differ if the vehicle is running on gas or petrol, only timing differs. However with EFI engines computer management should compensate for that. If it doesn't (car feel slugish) then for LPG advance 6-8 degree.
Cheers

Hi Dean,
I have a GQ on petrol /gas but is not EFI , I had been told to set the valves @ .50mm , it is supposed to have more power and better economy .I tried it at that setting didnt feel any better , but the rattell coming from the rocker arms was to noisy so i reset them back to standard. So your better off leaving them as they are.
