Just wondering if anyone can suggest a reliable mechanic on the Northside of Brisbane?

Cheers

Try 4X4 Excellence at Leitch's Road Brendale. Guy's name is David Jones. He is an ex Toyota mechanic. Seems to know his way around deisels.

Not familiar with 'em myself, so can't offer any comment, but quite a few of the blokes on the Patrol forum speak very highly of the fellas at >>

Northside 4x4 / Caboolture

Might be worth droppin' in for a chin-wag, & see what ya reckon ;-)

Just the regular servicing and we were told while away that one of the axle seals maybe leaking. No major probs with it - 60 series Cruiser.

We take our 3 cars to the same mechanic and have done so for years. The Crusier is the only Diesel, anyway while away car wouldn't start and a old bloke helped us out and got us started and said glow plugs need replacing. Took it to mechanic in Roma and he said that glow plugs hadn't been checked in alongtime as were really hard to get out. I don't know much about cars but if you were servicing a Diesel for over 12 months wouldn't that be someting you would of checked out?

Really disappointed in them I guess. If your husband thinks he can help us out let me know and will give him a call. We are west of Caboolture.

Thanks

Hi
We live in Caboolture and my husband would be more than happy to come and have a look at your vehicle if there is any immediate problems you need help with . As we will be doing an around Aus trip mid November unfortunatley he wouldn't be able to help with regular servicing of you vehicle.
As to your Glow Plug problem it would be something that would not be checked as part of normal servicing unless the customer had complained about Hard starting, then this would be the first thing to be checked.
Hope this has been of some help to you if you require more info or would like him to look at any immediate problems please give him a ring .
cheers Lesley+Geoff

Thanks for that Lesley. If he is happy to have a look over it for us and do a service for now and then we can work something else out while you are away. The problem of starting was an issue they were susposed to have looked at a few months ago. It's hard when you don't know much about cars to know if they are looking after you or not. Will be in touch and thanks again
