can any one tell me if the white plug under the left side of the steering column is where i plug in my scangauge on my landcruiser 4.5 v8

If it is 'D' shaped with about 16 pins it is the OBDII interface. Most devices plug in here (incl scangauge).

You need to test it to see if it works. e.g. Nissan Patrol are NOT OBDII compliant. They may use that plug but all the software is different.

I'm assuming that Darryl's 4.5 V8 is the new diesel engine in either the LC200 or new 70 series, and it will certainly work in both of those.

The current 3ltr Nissan Patrol is OBDII compliant I believe. ie 2008 and onwards.

Hi Malcolm (Townsville),

Yep the 3ltr common rail. Works great. By keeping an eye on it you can keep your fuel consuption down by not being too heavy on the throttle.

I had tried ELM327 and OBDII interfaces on my ZD30. The only one that worked was NisTune. I'll have to find a CRD and test again.
