G'day
Does anyone know who makes the steel trays that Nissan sells direct? Are they any good?
Regards
Chris

Chris85,
Me thinks nissan dealers source tray backs themselves and supply seperately or as a package. The dealers around me (all brands - yota, missan, bits & pieces, holden) just buy as a cab/chassis from manufacturer/importer. We always have had the option to either source the tray ourselves or specify the manufacturer of the tray if we wish. Usually local engineering shops and a big range in strength and quality.
regards

I checked out that site, they only do service bodies?
I was after what brand Nissan offer on their vehicles (says on their website you can buy as an after market accessory off them).

Hi Chris, like the others have said, there really is no such thing as a 'genuine' Nissan steel ute tray. They are made by fabrication workshops that specialise in that area. I just googled 'steel tray for ute' and bucketloads of manufacturers such as XL and Dutch came up. I guess its a 'genuine' Nissan one if your local dealer uses their product. Didn't realise XL only made service backs... Dutch is popular too, but not sure about steel. Google might be your best friend on this. 'Whacker

I emailed Nissan, they do the Steel tray for $2200 plus fitting. Would I be correct in thinking that the one they would be offering would be not as good as ones manufactured by aftermarket mobs (Nissan genuine steel bullbars or snorkels are not as good as ARB etc)?
