My local Nissan service tells me my radiator is leaking a little from the top plastic tank.. Quoted $550 to replace the top tank and "O" ring and clean or a new nissan radiatir is around $750.. I dont think its worth spendind 75% of the cost of a new radiator in repairs so before i get a new unit, is there something better for the same price or equally good for a cheaper price around Sydney area. I dont have any overheating problems whilst towing generally. Thanks in anticipation, Michael

Michael - saw this advertisement in a 4x4 magazine - Aussie Desert Cooler - high performance radiators - located in Preston Vic - I realise you asked for Sydney - telephone 03 9470 4449 or www.aussiedesertcooler.com.au. If nothing else comes along.

Priced from $750 Patrol or Landcruiser range.

No interest or association with the business - just remembered the ad.

Geeez 750 bucks is a lot of money for something that might leak again shortly.

Can you see where the leak is? if so you might be able to grind the hole out a bit and fill it with araldite, and get many more years out of the plastic tank.
