Was on the epa website just before and was suprised to read the below for camping at Kenilworth.

Camping Area Closed

This alert is valid from : 29-01-2009 to: 01-08-2009 (inclusive)
Page generated on : Thu May 14 21:29:02 2009

Booloumba Creek Area One and Three are closed until further notice. Refunds or credits will be available please contact camping.refundenquiries@epa.qld.gov.au

I am assuming for camp ground regeneration and not the building of a holiday hotel.

So should you be wanting to camp at Kenilworth , within that vicinity, it looks like Charlie Moorland camp ground is your only option for the time being.

Any idea why they are closed? Vandals or yobbos perhaps?

Hi Jp

We camped in the forest once, between Kenilworth and Jimna. Found a small quarry and stayed overnight. In those days we used to sleep in the swag on the roofrack of the old G60. The things we do......LOL

Cheers

Still aiming for perfection hey Willem!!

That isn't a bad idea sleeping in the swag on the roof rack!
Maybe I should have looked at my choice of roof racks a bit more carefully when I purchased.....
