I've got a BFG AT which has only done about 15,000K. I was up in the
Vic high country a couple of weeks ago ( on a Drive 4 Life, what a great trip ) and managed to rip off one off the lugs on the side of the tyre. The tyre does not leak, but I can see the fibre layers. Does anyone know of a compound or patch I can put over it.
Thanks

I'm guessing a patch inside would be better.

Get some o' this stuff
Maverick bond
and glue the lug back on.. almost instantaneous "grab", but leave it at least overnight before driving on tyre..
This is seriously good stuff, which I have used to successfully repair (superficial) cuts on a couple of tyre sidewalls, which are holding strong to this day.. I always carry some (in the 'fridge) on any extended trip..
If there is a better adhesive for rubber, I'd like to know about it..
Don't get it on yer fingers!!!

John, the last time I bought some, I ordered it online..
(contact details/order form at top of page;-))
You may prefer to call the Syd. office to see if there's a re-seller in your area (?) I don't recall having seen it in any B&M store:(
