Hi Guys

We have been hunting around for a good bush type camping spot within 1.5hours of the Gold Coast, we have some new campers wanting to come who would like lady acceptable toilets and showers. We don't like commercial type caravan parks, but need somewhere we can set up 3-4 caravans plus a couple of tents and being winter somewhere we can light a fire, there will be about eight children under 10 so a nice grassy camp would be nice for them to run made. We are set up for self sufficient off road caravanning but the others don't want to rough or to far, any ideas.

There are two very nice 'camp grounds' up in the Richmond range national park being the ones Cambridge plateau and Peacock creek and I think they're the ultimate in peaceful seclusion. First one is directly north of Malanganee on the Bruxner Hwy and the other one is not much further on although i dobn't know about getting vans to the site. They are listed in the Nat Pks book and facilities are shown. Andrew (H) fr Q'land is someone who knows all about this area so hopefully he can add
someting (or is it Graham (H) . Something a bit closer on the road to Murwillumbah would be Mebbin springs in the nat park.
I lived im M'bah and there's not much else in the Tweed that is peaceful and not just an urban caravan park. The further north you go, the worse they get.
