gday all
did anyone catch SBS (speed week) today?
It was about a few Aussie guys taking on the world of 24 hour motor sport. They finished 30 th outright and 5 th in class in an all Australian made v8 super car.
they showed footage ( in car) of it passing all makes of exotics form all over the world, and it didnt just overtake these cars ( porches,Ferrari's and the like) it blisted them on horse power.
good on these guys just showing the rest of the world that Australia can match it with the best of them, cheers.

Yep, thats what makes it all the better, what we can do on a shoestring (in comparison) budget.

Definitely good stuff, managed to catch the tail end of it. Might i add, it was also great to see Mark Webber take a podium position (his first in Formula 1) in China last week. Give us the opportunity and Australians and our cousins across the Tasman will always be able to mix it with the worlds best using determination and fortitude...i.e. guts!

It was the first time Webber has come second.
He has had two previous "thirds"

For Mark Webber to even finish that race, in conditions that were more suited to kayaking ,speaks volumes about how
well he can drive a car.

Plenty of water in the
Murray river at
Mildura also, more aussies leading the world in sport and horsepower.
