Out and About
I have a Waeco fridge/freezer that I normally just use as a fridge. However, on my next trip I wish to to freeze it. What is the best temperature to set it to for freezing?
I need it to run as long as possible on
battery power so I want to set it to the highest temperature I can whilst still ensuring the food stays frozen.
Thanks.

hey out and about,
i have an 80ltr waeco fridge/freezer and have found -18 gets a good result for keeping the meat frozen solid and the beer nice and cold, without wreaking the lettuce.
there are so many variables to this. eg: insultation on fridge/car windows, outside temp, how many times are you open the fridge,

A and O
We have a 50CF Waeco which is several years old, so it doesn't have the temp gauge on it, it just has a series of lights and the more lights the colder the fridge.
So two or three days before we hit the trail the fridge is loaded with what ever, which has already been frozen, and turned up to maximum on 240Volts, then once we hit the trail the freezer is turned down a couple of lights, and that keeps everything frozen.
Having said that we also
check the freezer daily to make sure all is OK.
Cheers
Baz
