Wondering if anyone can advise where I might be able to get a broken zipper replaced in Brisbane or would I be better off buying a new transit bag. Its pretty old and grotty anyway.

If so, any recommendations on a store or website where I might get a good deal on a replacement.

Thanks
Bernie.

Hi Bernie,

Re a repair - I don't know anyone Brisbane but a good try would be a canvas repair/sewing business. Try your local yellow pages.

Try a local clothes alteration place? I had a zip replaced on some shorts and they did a good job. I guess they can get bigger zips in and stitch them on without to many dramas

Hi Bernie,

You could try contacting MSA
to see if they can repair it or supply another cover.

Cheers,
Wayne.

Hi Bernie, i own a canvas fabrication business in Kallangur, Brisbane Northside, is the zipper actually broken or are the teeth not meshing together or has it got a busted slider( metal bit that you pull )? if you give me a ring on 3886 5466 i'll be happy to have a chat to you.
Regards
David

Thanks David. The teeth aren't meshing together and its hopeless remeshing them as they just come undone again, will give you a call. I expect that it needs a replacement zipper.
