Trying to source a few gauges for the lads 80 series cruiser.

Specially trying to find a decent priced EGT / Pyrometer gauge for his exhaust to onitor the EGT's - as we continue to modify his 1HD-T engine for more HP.

Tried Repco for VDO gauges and nearly died at the $500+ quote just for the Pyro gauge and Thermocouple/probe.

Ideally would like a EGT/Pyro gauge as above, PLUS a Oil Pressure (Mechanical) and Turbo boost gauge as well.

These were relatively cheap at around $70 each........its the Pyro that seems too steep!

Anyone know where to source these things on line at a reasonable price?

Cheers

FlyWest

Bought my VDO pyro from TJM for under $400. Would think twice about mechanical oil pressure gauge in cabin. Something happen and could have burning hot oil going all over you (or somebody else).

If you want digital pyro have a look here

Greetings Flywest

I have a CruzPro egt gauge (PY-60B) installed in the Patrol and an AutoMeter electric boost gauge, very happy with both units bought online when the dollar was a little stronger than current.

Cheers

Have a look at this site.

http://www.atlanticspeed.com/productcart/pc/showSearchResults.asp?VA=0&ProdSort=&iPageCurrent=2&iPageSize=10&PageStyle=p&customfield=0&SearchValues=&exact=0&keyword=phantom&priceFrom=0&priceUntil=999999999&idCategory=19&IdSupplier=10&withStock=&IDBrand=0&order=3&SKU=

His prices are good and he doesnt charge too much for postage.
I got a Autometer Phantom EGT off him Cost $168 landed here.

Make sure if you buy one on line from an offshore seller you buy A METRIC MODEL.
Get your oil gauge from Autobarn thery sell matching ones for the AUTOMETER models cost $109 for mine

Here are mine mounted in a $35 pod also available at Autobarn

The part nos on atlantic speed are 5727 for ELCTRIC oil pressure and

5744M for the Metric EGT

Just a thought I believe Pods such as these are illegal in Mexico sorry NSW unless they are factory standard.

In saying that I saw a hoon car with several gauges down the pillar in Albury today
