Hey all

does anyone know whether or not a GU Patroll bullbar could be mounted to a GQ patrol?

I'd imagine you'd be pushing it 'cos the two bodies are such different shapes

Scott,
I replaced the original Nissan alloy bar on my GU with the Nissan Factory Steel bar after I cleaned up a high speed emu out west. The steel bar is legal & I wanted to put on a winch also. It was an insurance job so it was also cheap for me. In changing the bull-bar with the insurance company several issues came up.
One that was important was ADR design rules associated with air bags if fitted.
I don't know if your GQ has air bags but food for thought.
good luck
DonaldGet out there and use it.
Life is too short not to.
All the best...

Hi, ive owned an mq, gq & now a gu, & the bull bars will not fit each other unless your pretty good with an oxy & welder.
The new gu bars have completely different mounting systems, and contours around the guards are different.
do yourself a favour and buy a second hand one to fit.
