Hi Folks,

Not wishing to hijack Post 67044 I thought I would ask a separate question.

I was thinking about getting my own air conditioning compressor air set up for my 80 series diesel (non turbo) and was wondering if any one out there has put together their own system.

I would appreciate photos of the bracket/s and the pulley system you have put together. Also any tips or problems to watch out for would also be very much appreciated.

I’ve done a search here and around the web and found lots of talk about such a fitment but can’t locate any photos.

Cheers

Phil

Hi Phil
I have a 7 page article that has photos on conversion of the a/c comp and fitting of an endless air system, and some links on further info. If you give me your email address I can fwd it to you.

Neil,

I would appreciate it if you would be good enough to forward the article to me also.

I have thought about doing something similar to this to my 80 series cruiser for a while now...

My email is:

tomc@mira.net

Tom.

Hi Phil

I had my mechanic make one up to suit my 100 series, works a treat took him a while to custom the bracket but have had no problems with it ....he fitted a grease nipple to the compressor for periodic lubrication and also a remote air tank. You could pump up dozens of tyres with out the overheating problems of electric ones, well worth it.

cheers

G'day Peter, I am interested in what your mechanic has done. Does it fit on a 100 Series with air con and power steering pump please? I wonder if you could post a picture or perhaps email me some pictures? mvpartners at bigpond dot com, if you could please.

Peter, thanks for the pictures, so many say you can't do one on a 100 Series
