I’ve been asked to assist with the funding of a hi tech weather webcam. A search of Google didn’t produce much, although I noticed that Freemantle have a number of them.
Anyone know much about these things, including connection to a web site and ongoing maintenance.
If they are any good, we could install one on Ruth’s Roof.
LOL
Regards
Kim

G/day Kim, Yep, quite a few of the northern beaches of
Sydney have them,, they`re useful when I need to know how the water looks before I go down for a fish.

That's exactly what their talking about. What's in place now is a web site tide clock and weather conditions.
They want to compliment that with a web cam view. Does this help you prior to going fishing?

That site scrapes the images from external links ie. they do not host all the webcam images themselves. Just a bunch of links with Google Ads thrown in for a revenue stream. :-)
Depending on the webcam server arrangements, some are live (low framerate video eg
this one) , some are every 60 seconds (eg
this one), some are not shown.

Better install a weather station on Ruth's roof also. That way we can not only see how hot it is....
