Question??
Can I use my e10 to charge second battery while driving? Some times I may stay in one place for a while and run it down a bit.
Will charging my second batt effect the alternator charge?

What is wrong with just letting the alternator charge the battery when in transit and then if needed top the 2nd battery up with the generator when you reach camp??

If the No 2 Battery is totally isolated from the vehicle's charging system (ie as being attached to or in a Caravan) I would say yes, BUT in my other brand Gennie it does state to run while stationary but probably wouldn't hurt it if it was sealed road ,

E10 can only charge at around 3 or 4 Amps direct DC, or if you use a AC charger maybe 7Amps
Your car altenator can easily run up to 50Amps BUT only if charging batteries independantly, otherwise will charge to suit the "fullest" battery which can be very slow but still likely to be well above 7 Amps

Just charge from the car
