People,
A quick one, will the third row seat out of a 92 GQ fit straight into an 89 Nissan Patrol? Keep the shiny side up

Just a thought on this.....
When I bought my GU (in '99), I sold my GQ privately.. To do so (in Q'ld.) requires a RWC... When I took the vehicle in without the 3rd row seats fitted, they would not issue the RWC as it's registered as a 7-seater, therefore needed all 7 seats correctly fitted to pass the inspection...
Don't know if the same applies in WA, but on that basis, you may have difficulties if/when you decide to sell.. Something to consider..
(I guess you could have the rego changed if necessary)

Hey Ed, that was a pretty anal roadworthy guy you got there :-O

I can see how it could be an issue in black and white - but recently sold my GU and had no trouble getting a RWC (VIC) with the back seats removed. No questions asked...

The bloke who did the insp. was pleasant enough.. Obviously just one of those people who has to have things EXACTLY as per the "book"!
Got me on a few other "nit-picky" things as well, one of them as petty as those little ADR compliance sticker thingies that go on the tinted windows.. Had to have one on EVERY separate pane of glass that was tinted, incl. the 1/4 panes on the back doors etc. etc... In the end, no drama really, just a pain in the a$$..
Spoke to the Nissan dealers about this (Had I known, they would have done the RWC for me), & they said that while the RTA bloke was technically quite correct, they did say that he was being overly PICKY!!!

Just thought I'd mention about the seats.. "just in case"...

People,
Just to let you know, the guy picked up the seat was pleased it was the same colour. A lot of the fittings where already there, couple of holes to drill but looked relatively easy. All the seat belt fittings looked like they will fit really easily. One happy customer. Thanks for the help.Keep the shiny side up
