Googs track, Lake Gairdner area.
Oodnadatta track to Old Andado.
Strzelecki track to Innaminka looping back around the Birdsville track.
Selected sand driving around Robe & Beechport.
Andamooka, Roxby Downs, Coober Pedy & the Painted Desert.
There are also 25 or so private properties in the Flinders & Gammon ranges, many catering for easy 4x4 with several Public Access Routes (PARs) on top of heaps of tracks to historic places & scenic gorges.
All these tracks are within the capability of a suitably prepared dual range Forrester.
(That should keep you busy for a few years)
Cheers Craig............

Yes the Forrester would be ideal around the Gawler Ranges. Mostly high speed dirt roads with some single lane winding tracks. Owned an early model Subie myself & found it a very capable vehicle offroad that was often underestimated by other drivers. Cheers Craig............

Not on his own, and probably not in a subie Andrew, unless sand is wet and solid.

Hi Pesty,

I've seen a number of Forresters out there - although probably non on their own.

Cheers,
Andrew.

Plenty up north of the Flinders in the Gammon Ranges. Base yourself at Arkaroola and do the day drives and then head in around the 4x4 loop and camp near Grindells Hut.

Cheers Mick

thanks for the pics Mick. I was in Arkaroola a few years ago in my beat-up old corolla. I still believe the gammon ranges are the most spectacular part of SA

Agree totally, the Flinders and Gammons are a fantastic place to explore. Every bit as good as the Pilbara and almost as good as the Kimberley!

Cheers. Mick
