Greetings.
Seeking some quick and some not so quick info. First, does anyone know where to get a workshop manual for a current model Hilux diesel. (07 extra cab chassis) Tried several "usual sources" but they don't seem to be up to have current series yet. Second, can anyone tell me the colour coding for the accessory wire on the ignition switch of same. Want to connect UHF through accessory switch but would like to know which wire is which before I snip.
Hopefully Terry

Hi Terry, I don't know the colour coding that you are after, but what I have done in the past is find a fuse in the interior fuse box that is only powered up when the key is in the accessory or run position then splice into that wire (thru a fused wire).
Likely fuse positions could be electric windows, stereo, ect.
Some times in the fuse box there is a spare slot that is not used because it may be a accessory that is not fitted to your vehicle, that slot will have the power side (12 volt) terminal and a blank spot on the other side where the fuse would go.
Just place the power wire from your radio into that slot ( you can buy the terminal that will fit into the fuse box) and it will be powered up from the ignition and and have a ready made fuse holder.
Hope that makes sense,
Willb

Willb Thanks - makes great sense and serves to remind me how stupid I am. That can't be a bad thing.

Terry connect into the 12 volt accessories plug in front of the gear stick, easy to get to and it is fused as
well.
If you still want to connect into the accessory wire at the ignition switch give me a yell and I will have a look on our lap top at
home.
We have most of the current Toyota global service manuals that Toyota use including the current Hilux.
The other thing is you may want to put a over ride switch in in case someone has to use the UHF if your not there or you have lost your keys, you can hide the switch in the top cover of the glove box.

Thanks for the advice all. The simple route seems excellent, as does the overide switch idea. Regards Terry
