Now now fellas, let's not be sarky!

Actually, I think it is a great product.
I don't need to load the outboard into the back of the vehicle, as I have a mount on the tailgate of the camper, but for those who do need to transport the outboard and also store it, this product is certainly worthy of consideration.

Good luck with the Inventors telecast.

Bill.

Even though it is made from Stainless Steel, $660 seems about $400 above what it should be worth........I personally think that being made from SS is an overkill, especially when most motors would be washed down in any case after being in salt water.Mine certainly are......

good luck.

Well done!
Sometimes the best inventions are a simple adaptation of a common product that no one ever thought of before;
eg pin -> safety pin.
I note the criticism of the use of stainless. I'd say that the major cost would be fabrication, and while bending stainless is a bit tougher than bending mild steel, the additional cost of the raw material would be quite low. With stainless, you can hose down the outboard motor while on the frame with impunity.
Guess aluminium would have been fine as well.

An Aluminium option may have a greater reach of the perceived market.....and with a lower cost would become more viable to more people.

To me the only drawcard over a trolley seems to be the Stainless nature and some more stability (not too hard to retrofit to a much cheaper trolley).

Just my observations.....

Andrew, thanks for your thoughts but aliminium is dearer, harder
to weld and you have to go up in size.to go cheaper in the trolley would be a whole dirrerent story trying to fit the trolley into the cradle as they are manufactured to size.

a converted sack track would be cheaper by far....and your video clearly shows what the conversion/s are
and at that price it wont sell very well i'd say

Stainless is alot more expensive then alluminium.

Depends on type of welding, tig or mig.

Depends on grade and thickness of material.

Hey dude

Great idea for storing and carrying the motor around in the car or trailer. Do you have to lift the motor up to the boat?
cheers
