Hi All.
I know this is off topic David but the
forum is going to be the best way for as many south east Qlders as possible to see. I cannot do the pound/RSPCA thing. I could make a reference of dogs and camping, dogs and travelling.. would that make it on topic!!!
Basically I need to find a new
home for our six month old male, black, pure bred, desexed and micro chipped labrador.
He's an awesome dog but having a staffy as a playmate he gets too hyper and the problem we are having is his constant jumping up, which now that Mark has the peritoneal dialysis catheter in place we cannot take any chances with Angus jumping up and scratching or pulling on the catheter in anyway. I will accept some responsibility also in that from when we got him I wanted him to go to puppy school but with me working 24/7 shift work, it was just impossible. Being six months old he is a typical dumb, clumsy, uncoordinated tripper but is very loving and given some one on one he will grow into a definate best friend and travel buddy. (there we go, it is a half travelling related topic!!!)
As much as we love him and he is a great companion for Jess we just cannot take any chances with him jumping on Mark.
my email is jarsofclay30@bigpond.com or I can be texted 24hrs a day on 0402623078.
Thankyou David (sorry but thankyou.)
Cheers
Jo

Sorry Shane, been asleep. He's a lab, he loves his food! BUT Labradors are prone to putting on weight by their obsession!!!
So we've been very strict since day one of what he gets. We give him a scoop of dry in the morning and night time is a scoop of dry and 400gr of the Scottys dog meat roll. And of course he gets plenty of bones. Give him a chance he'd eat till he couldn't walk, with what he gets now he is certainly not starving, (he just thinks he is!!!). It has him at a very healthy weight range.
Food wise he gets high protein food being an energetic tripper!
I buy the 'Bonnie' 20kg bag biscuits from the pet produce (@ $35) and that should last minimum 2-3months, and the scottys dog rolls are @ $6.50 each for a 2 kilo. Usage would be one and a half rolls a week.
Cheers
Jo
