I'm about to pick up a new Sahara t/d and will be replacing the current tyres.
I've had problems sourcing good off road tyres. BFG do not supply a correctly rated 275/65 R17 All Terrain which was my preferred option.
Anyome got some suggestions?

17inch rims are your killer.
All you can do is goto a tire place and ask what they can get in 17's.
Or see if 16inch rims will fit, then go with them and any tires.

Am now running Bridgestone Duelers AT D693.
Have previously had Goodrich AT's and
Dunlop Grand
Treks and find the Bridgestone the best so far - quiet on highway and plenty of grip on off road. They are not an extreme off-road tyre but a very good all-rounder.
Have a look here - Bridgestone 4WD Tyres

Thanks Diamond,
The issue with 16" may be the brake rotors, however, let's see what you can suss out.

Parso,
I've just changed from the standard toyota 16x8 to 16x6.5 on my TD 100 GXL. This was a mission on its own as the only 6.5" rims I could find for the ifs cruiser were Toyotas. I did this because I wanted to run 235/85 16R V-steels I had on my rigid front 100 before. These are a much more durable tyre for the conditions here in
Karratha and have the bonus of giving me 3/4's of inch height increase. Go the 16's
Regards

Thanks guys.
It looks as though 16" rims are the go.
Might have a chat to the Toyota dealer to see if they have any secondhand that they have changed over for after market mags etc.
