Hi all,
I was a member of this
forum many moons ago, but a new little girl and living in the city for the past 8 years means my time's unfortunately been taken up with other stuff, and my trusty HJ47 troopie has hardly been used over the past four years.
The style council (wife) has recently declared the Troopie unfit for baby transportation and apparently a blight on her landscape, so it must be sold.
It's a 1984 troopie, 2H motor, 200000 on the clock, pretty much original except for new wide wheels. Includes not-working factory air-con. Very little rust, no leaks (!), fair bit of work done about 50,000k ago (transfer case, full brake system rebuild, new radiator), and the clutch and glow plugs were replaced about 10k ago.
Any clues on value?
Cheers,
Dave, (one slightly depressed Troopie owner)

Good solid
old truck.
Probably get $3,500 to $4000 for it in real life.
Put an ambit in for $6000 and see what you get :-)
Cheers

sold
mine for $3700- rush sale.
I reckon $5k would be the top limit if it looks good in and out.

Gidday
DONT SELL
I have one exactly the same and was also considering selling her as we have a newer one now, but after considering what she is worth and the fact she is the last of a clasic and everyone else seems to have a "toy" i decided to keep her.
Love getting her out for a run.
Decked out back so can sleep etc
great

Yeah, it's hurting me, it's a great old bus.
I have a '68 Falcon wagon (I've had it 20 years, and Dad bought it new) that I'm also trying hard not to lose, so ultimately it will be a toss of the coin as to which car leaves us.
