Magellan Explorist 600

Hi, I recently got my hands on a Magellan explorist 600, Iv'e just about worked it all out. The problem is when Im given GPS co-ordinates of a place I can't seem to save it on the unit.

Sorry I cant help, at 62 and new to my pc and having a Magellan Crossover, I have discovered I need to do a course to have any hope of mastering either, the op system of the GPS doesnt seem particularly logical or user-friendly

Hello - simply press MARK. This will create a waypoint. Use the arrow keys to move up to the coordinate section of the screen, press ENTER and edit the information to match the coordinates you have.

It is of course important that you have the GPS set to the same coordinate system and datum as the data you are entering. You can change these by going to MENU - PREFERENCES - MAP UNITS.

I am guessing but reading the user manual would probably be of some assistance to you. It is on one of the CDs that comes with GPS or it can be downloaded from Magellan website.
