I am interested in a response on whether a tubo can be added to a 3.4 l prado & what power increase it might have. Already have a free flowing exhaust with a snorkel for cool air.

Would be cheaper to sell and go and buy a 120 series V6 179kw vvti first of them. Less problems and all the gear made for the extra grunt on the 120. Where do you stop ?? Brake upgrade to pull it up, auto/manual upgrade to take the extra grunt, insurance. Then more then likely issues with keeping the thing cool on hot days. I have heard super charging is a better way to go but havnt heard of any one doing it to the 3.4 only the 120 V6. Regards Steve M

TRD (Toyota Racing Development. Toyotas version of HSV for holdens) do a supercharger kit for the 3.4 V6

It's a bolt on kit apparently, that comes with everything needed such as ECU upgrades, all pipework and so on. The prices bandied about on other forums are about $7K for the kit.

Never seen one in the flesh though, but that would seem to be the easiest option instead of a custom turbo / ecu installation.

Hope the info helps.
