I have been looking at the new magellon platnium gps.
We use auslig raster maps and oziexplorer .
At present we have a garmin 12xl
Has any body got any thoughts on any other options we should look at.
I have heard that Navman should be considered.
I have not seen this unit .
All options would be apprecited.

It depends how you will be using it;
4WDing ?
Bush walking ?
Metropolitain driving ?
Boating ?
Survey ?
If you will continue using Oziexplorer then you only need a basic GPSr and, unless there are any problems with the Garmin, I would continue using that.

I am using a Garmin GPS 12 with Oziexplorer and find it easy to use it works very
well with uploading and downloading wpts ,I know of others that have found the Megallin harder to set up with OEBorn to drive a 4x4 , not a keyboard
