I have a Sawtron UHF (old but extremely reliable) and wonder where is the best place to install it in a 2005 Prado. I do not wish to cut any panel on the dash and I need keep it out of the leg room area of the passenger.

If you have some cash buy a roof console. You can store all sorts of goodies in there down the track

Why not mount it in the centre consol between the seats in the lift up section.

We have our Icom IC2010 and out Icom IC-F7000 mounted in there.....close the lid and nobody knows it is in there.

Regards Richard

Hi Avan, If you are lucky enough to have the remote mounting cable you should have enough length to mount it anywhere,if not try e-bay for a remote cable, they were available 12 months ago.
Cheers Snake
