Hi
We recently purchased a new Codan HF and wish to receive more training using it. We recieved an intro night from E-Bug where we bought it, but this has left us with still many questions.
Would like to be able to receive training outside of the city so we can actually put into practice(on the day), what we are being taught. We live in
Adelaide but will be traveling around OZ if it is not available there.
Thanks Lyndon & Bernadette

If you have a look at this website for outback radio and join the VKS Network you will pick up some helpful info,
VKS-737
Apart from that if you follow the instruction book for controls and usage etc , If you happen to meet someone who already has one I'm sure they would only to happy to give you a crash course, playing around with things is a good way learn too, tune into the sked on VKS-737 tonight on 8022Khz and just listen, if your to close to
Adelaide then try
Alice Springs base a bit earlier.

Maybe go back and ask Electric Bug to provide you with some more help.
Most suppliers would be happy to support you I'm sure.
If you were in the Melb area you could try Peter James at Lara Electronics
Peter James - Lara Electronics
Peter is a great bloke and very knowlagble and helpful in all things HF.
Or you could join the Yahoo Codan Group which has some terriffic people who would be happy to help you with your questions
Codan Radio Users Group
Footy has offered you a link to a really useful web site also.
I have an NGT and had Peter James do a firmware upgrade and install his recreatioanl user profile which made the radio so much more user freindly would have thought that Electric Bug would have done the same sort of thing?
In the end they are not that hard to use a bit of practice and you will get the hang of it pretty easy also the VKS operators are good people and very easy to get along with and they will always be happy to support a new user with any help they can when you give them a call.
Cheers
