Are you sure that you know you are talking about...?? (your comment about "less than half the price" has me intrigued)
I trust that you are not confusing the Prolocker with the Lockright.
Either way, neither is a 'new' product, they have both been around in various guises and brandings for quite some time.
We have two Lockrights in our old troopy, they have given
well over 200 000kms of faithful, predictable and trouble free service.
The Prolocker in the Nissan was (apparently) the first one fitted to a non testbed vehicle in QLD. I use it regularly, and aside from being let down by a relay that was destroyed by water ingress it has performed faultlessly and reliably.
I'm not bagging your detroit, nor am I making any claims about the Prolocker being 'better' than any other brand. I'm just stating the fatcs. I have one, and it's has given me no trouble at all!
