Hi All

I was wondering if there are Factory workshop manuals to suit my Cruiser ( HDJ79R) and if anyone had bought them and how much they are? Also dose anyone have the Max Ellery ( Toyota Landcruiser Diesel 90-07 1HZ 1HD-T 1HD-F Manual ) one and are they any good?

Regards
Phil

Phil (good name :-))

Yes, you can buy the factory manuals. Last time i got a quote for factory manuals on a Prado, I think the multiple volumes cost $600+ .
Your Toyota dealer will give you a current price.

I have both the Gregorys and Ellerys manuals that cover the HDJ79. Both manuals cover the 100series well, with the 78/79series as a poor cousin. But they are both adequate for DIY work, and I do all my own maintenance and repairs. The electrical diagrams in both are pretty average.

I favour the Gregorys manual because it appears to be better researched and written, and has more photos.
