Did anyone else grab a pair of Cibie Oscars on special from Supercheap last week? I figured for $100 for a spot/spread combo it should be reasonable value considering their pedigree. Now to test them in the field.......

Hi Mark
Thats realy good valuen seing as I had to pay 110 just for a lense reflector replacement for my Oscar +'s recently.
They are not importing the +'s any more so the Oscars are the next best thing.
The best lights on the market IMHO.
I missed the offer. !!!!

I got the Cibie Airports, in a clear rectangular configuration, to replace my Hellas which the mount couldn't keep the light angled upward for more than 30 seconds over rough stuff. The Cibie mounts certainly are strong. Mine were $99 also, but only retail for $220. I also noticed that they had Nightstalkers (RRP $320) for $99, but was worried that I'd have to replace the wiring etc to get the benefit of double the wattage.

Certainly was a good deal for those that saw it and needed something, or even those that didn't!

Also picked up some $5 ea occy straps for 45c each!
