Just replaced D40 Navara tyres with BFG AT's 265x75xR16. They do fit but is is close (doubt it would take 275's - and no way 285's).
It has changed the vehicles handling completely - it now 'swims ' on the freeway, with what seems like half a second response to turning the wheel, before the side wall flex catches up. However against that the ride has softened and it takes bumps better and there is less of the rear wheel skip on corrugations.
Off road it is a different vehicle - now seems to want to go anywhere , specially in the wet, and the 25 mm lift hasn't done any harm either.
Had BFG AT's before (on a Jackaroo) but I am amazed at the difference on the D40 - not sure yet if that is all positive or a bit negative!

What tyre pressures you runnin.
BFG's need to run around 40-45 psi, something the dealer wont tell ya.
hope this helps

The lift kit is next on the list but at $2000 it will have to wait a while! Are you running the BFG's at 40 - 45 as above?
