I am lookiing at purchasing a new poptop van after a long absence from caravan holidays. Our major use will be blacktop travel with the ability for short detours on dirt roads and possibly some outback trips on the major routes. Due to limited finances, I was planning to upgrade a standard van with off-road wheels & tyres and increased height along with solar power/battery pack etc. instead of a more dedicated semi-offroad version. We only need about a 16ft internal (17.5ft external) single axle poptop. Tow vehicle is a Nissan Pathfinder. I have tried to narrow the field and am looking at a Regent Cruiser SE or a Golden Eagle (by Paramount).
Feedback on the quality of these vans would be much appreciated.

Hi jolo, have had a Regent 17'6" excellent van which we recently sold & have ordered a new Regent SE 17'6" delivery in October ready for the road in March 2008. They have many standard features which are extras in other makes. In comparison of many other makes good valued van as I spent 12 mths checking out vans & talking to many owners of various vans. Remember they all have there faults & every one has their preferences.
Regards Ray.

Thanks for your response. Aka, I would be interested in what you think of your new Regent van once you get delivery, especially the extent of the Quality Control ie is everything OK on delivery or can you see things that need attention already. Any
feedback after your first tryout would also be appreciated.
