forum,a long time ago,there was some discussion that the 265/70-16 on a troopie gave more stability and perhaps a better ride,or am i only dreaming.Using Bridgestone 693 (Aust) 70,000 so far.

I dont think there is a lot in the way of bush freindly 265/70 tyres being passenger construction. You would only go that way if you werent towing or leaving the bitumen. Our Work tritons were shod with 6 ply 265x70 tyres and I we were forever getting flats
