Have a look in the box the controller came in, there should be a leaflet explaining what to do when fitting to certain model Fords.
Mmmmmmmm, now where do we go next?

In most vehicles it is better to wire the stop light wire to the tail lights than fiddle around with the switch near the foot pedal. This control wire actuates the controler when the voltage in to it raises from earth potential to 12V - it also supplies power to the stop lights when the manual control on the controller is actuated.

Hi Slush

The brake switch on the Ford is a big problem. Don't touch it, they hardly work the brake lights.

Run a new wire to the stop light for power when you wire up the trailer plug.

Regards

Derek.

The main issue with AU Falcons was if you were going to connect trailer wiring you had to do it a certian way and at the correct take off point.

We have a lot of problems with EF/EL Falco stop ligt switches but AU's seem to be OK....touch wood.

Putting in the brake controller as per usual should be OK.
