Hi to All,

We are looking for a caravan park for our camping holiday with our camper trailer. we have 2 children 6 and 2 and they really want to stay somewhere with farm animals. Can anyone recomend a caravan park in Western Australia that has farm animals like a farm stay. Any help much appreciated. Cheers :)

Hi Tony, not sure what parts of WA you're interested in or what type of farmstay, however, we're just back from WA and while there we spent the weekend at Taunton Farm in the Sth West- Margaret River area, this is a park that's part of the big 4 group.

As we didn't have our trailer with us, we stayed in a cabin, however we checked out the sites which were nice and grassy. There was a big barn that is a camp kitchen, I didn't look in there, and a large amenities block, the kids checked it out and said it was "good". The property is a working cattle and sheep farm but there were other animals there too, it was a lovely place to stay and I'd go back again.

hopefully this link will open for you: www.tauntonfarm.com.au/

cheers

Tony

If you stayed at Tauntons there is a place called Sunflower Animal Farm on Caves Rd, Margaret River that has heaps of little animals.

This is I suppose about a 15 min drive from Tauntons.

We stayed at sunflower farm couple of years ago with the kids for our honeymoon. Dont think you can camp there but they had 3 cabins of different sizes. Kids absolutely loved the farm animals, they could get a bucket of feed and go off around the enclosures and feed them plus had a little patting area they could go in.

Hi Tony,
Well well! Just today got a nice colour flyer in our local rag titled "WA Farms, Stations, B&Bs and Country Retreats" put out by Farm & Country Holidays WA Assn Inc. How timely!
Check out this site:
WA Farm Stays
Should be able to find something in there.
