If you're looking at Prado's, the Grande model had rear air con. If it's the 100 series, they released limited edition models of their GXL's called 'Kathmandu' that had rear air con, not sure about the Sahara versions.
Cheers,
Mark.

Hi Graham, no they are overhead which work better as we know cool air drops so if sitting right up the back in the rear seats (little fold up ones) you get plenty of air. I turn the rear air on when I have my dogs in the back so they get some fresh air as the rear windows only pop open a bit. I had rear centre vents in our commodore and find the ones in the prado a lot better for ventilation. Regards Steve M

I have the same Prado as Steve and the air con outlets run along the outside roof line.

Hello Graham, what are you trying to do, all the 80 series with rear air have a evaporator plumbed into the front air con. The rear evaporator has its own fan.
If you go that way you will need the 2 pipes that connect the front evaporator to the rear, the 2 "tee" pipes in the engine bay, the rear evaporator assy with coil, fan and solinoid valve and you will have to modify the pipes because the connect into an ice box aswell.
The rest of the system is standard 80 series.
Its no small job to fit rear air con to a 80 series.
Regards Richard
