noticed on ebay they sell new injectors for diesels and other kits for just the nozzles. There is a cost benefit to only replacing nozzles but is the result the same?

Thanks.

if your nozzles are carboned up not a worry, but i think you really have to pull them out and open them up and check the spring and shims, if the spring is worn it will open early and overfuel. if you are not confident to do this as everything must go back in order and be spotless, i mean spotless. get a pro to do it, by all means take the injectors out yourself and save labour time, but when they are apart, cleanliness is vital. i think the shims come with a nozzle kit. i recently put nozzles in my 60 , but i have the luxury of a sealed fuel room at work. and you need access to a spray tester as well.

you might have to if it is a bit black smoky, but east enough to do, but get a pro to do it, i have a piston i pulled out of a 4.2 nissan today and it has a hole in the top about the size of a matchbox, caused by a mate, "who knew a bit about diesels" playing with the pump and turbo boost, all the other pistons were cracked as well.
