Will water crossings do any damage to electric brakes on a camper trailer or will they just dry out like the car brakes?

Hundreds of Ski boat trailers have electric brakes and never have a problems. Stay away from salt water though.

No but mix the water with dust and dirt and you have an excellent grinding paste.

YES, if the water gets in the electrics !!! But not if your magnets are in good condition and any elect connections are sealed..
As said above , I'd be more worried about mud rather than water !!!

Mud is particularly hard on disc brakes.

We did 40 water crossings in the top end 2006/7 towing our Aussie Swag 2003 Challenger fitted with electric brakes and 9 months on they are still working
well. Sorry dont know what the manufacturers think may be worth ringiing them. Have a look at the water crossing on or web page www.flickr.com/photos/morleytravels
