Simple question do you have a senior
first aid certificate?
Do you think you need one?
Some people have been contemplating trip into really remote Australia, Nothing wrong with that in fact I encorage it, I would also encorage that you have a Senior
First Aid certificate as
well espessily those with
young ones.

check ESPECIALLY before you hit the send button.

I have my
first aid ticket, have done since I was 14 (25 years). I haveseen many changes in that time. Was a divemaster for a while and also had to have my oxy reviver ticket then too.
I am very pleased to say I am now in the construction industry and have never had to use my
first aid knowledge.
Although I am glad I was not in the vicinity of one of our workers on Saturday.
He caught his privates inbetween 2 plastic barriers and needed a tetnis and stitches.
I'm glad I wasn"t the one to rub it better

I have a range of training including adavnced CPR (Oxygen),medications, level 3, Defib and have actually had the chance to use CPR on someone a while back. Not a fun experience but very satisfying given the end result for that time. Basic
First aid should be compulsory in schools as it does not matter wether you are "spot on" with your application as anything is better than nothing. You just need to remember IF you decide to help someone you then owe them a duty of care until someone more qualified arrives.
