I have noticed a lot of post lately about long range fuel tanks being fitted and enquiries. I had one fitted about a month ago by TJM and it also had to have complience plate fitted by an engineer. My question is was the comp plate fitted because I had my main tank replaced with an other or is it law in queensland when you change to another size tank. Couldn't pickup my car until engineer had sited and filled out comp plate.

Ross,

As far as I know any modification to a vehicle that is registered in Queensland, fuel tank replacement, suspension, etc, must have a compliance plate fitted by the company that did the installation.

I think it is a way to get rid of the back yard operators.
