Yep, i know we were just talking about it!! :)
We want a duel purpose sat phone, obviously useless to get the one with cdma option due to the shut down. Is there a phone that will do nextG + sat??. I see there is one with GSM as well as sat, but gsm is pretty useless outside major cities, and correct me if I'm wrong Telstra is not the carrier for the GSM component?. We have property in Cooktown and unless you have telstra(gsm or cdma), no coverage!
Cricky this is confusing!! :))
All help is appreciated.

You can have GSM or CDMA or NextG with satphone - just duct tape your choice onto the side of the satphone.

There are 5 threads on this subject today, your question on the other thread being the same as this one, has been answered.

I would suggest every body is over it.
