Yep, i know we were just talking about it!! :)
We want a duel purpose sat phone, obviously useless to get the one with cdma option due to the shut down. Is there a phone that will do nextG + sat??. I see there is one with GSM as
well as sat, but gsm is pretty useless outside major cities, and correct me if I'm wrong Telstra is not the carrier for the GSM component?. We have property in
Cooktown and unless you have telstra(gsm or cdma), no coverage!
Cricky this is confusing!! :))
All help is appreciated.

i called up telstra last year and they said 'they dont support dual carrier phones in their billing system' dual being sattelite and gsm. but it may have changed now .

You can have GSM or CDMA or NextG with satphone - just duct tape your choice onto the side of the satphone.

what if i wanted a diesel engine and a petrol engine?. duct tape rolls only come in 20 meters !!
