Does anyone know any 4wd tracks that are within 30mins of
Adelaide? Doesnt need to be too long or hard but enought to test out the vehicle.
Cheers

Adelaide isn't that small, 30mins will only get you as far as Salisbury/ Lonsdale, there are dirt roads within that time but not 4wd tracks, unless you want to cross the River Torrens :-)

I don't know of any around there, aren't they mainly dirt roads
Morgan Quarries is the best you'll get within 2 hours drive from
Adelaide.
Shell Hill , around palmer rocks is very basic.
Pt
Gawler,
Deep Creek
A private property will open up soon in
Kersbrook

Hi bubbles
The back of coxes scrub just out of Mt compass is a short track that will give you a quick fix and stop the shakes and withdrawls.
The back of the Aussie pub has a 1k track with some light weight rough bites (private land at the end)
thats about it

Saunders Gorge in the
Adelaide Hills. I haven't actually been there (was planning on it when I was in
Adelaide in January but didn't have time) but looks good from the website.

Correct. Saunders Gorge is basically it. Real 4wding close to
Adelaide can only be achieved in the Southern flinders :(

Unfortunatly he has sold the property but a freind of
mine had excellent 4wding on his Callington property which he let some 4wd clubs use - Good oportunities exist in the area if you can get to know landholders. We spent 1/2 a day 4wding and fishing

head to mcclaren vale, go through mcclaren vale towards willunga, as you come into willunga there is a
cross roads, the school is on the other side, turn left there and follow that road up to a substation, turn right and go up the
hill and follow to the end where it turns into a track which goes up another
hill, pretty good track, has some ruts and rock stairs very tricky if wet. when you get to the top you will drive past a couple of houses then come to a sealed road, turn right for willunga or go back down the track .

hey, most of what you read from the others is spot on. coles crossing is short but has a mud hole normally ok weeks after rain, follows hard sandish track with
water ruts on the side, for the eager, bit after that it will bend left and down. about halfway you mite want to look as is a nice drop off. im only stock height so its a challenge for my little terrano 3.0l petrol. after the drop abit down the road is a
creek ( finess river) has a rocky pebble bottom so traction is ok not to hard apart from the drop off. follow through
creek to a
hill climb that overlooks
murray mouth. comes out near kuipto forest. nice test track. may find only one way if wet due to drop off can be a b****. head towords mt compass take the Knagarkt turn off and take your third left BLACKFELLOWS ROAD im 99% sure follow that cant go wrong.
